Augüera is one of 15 parishes in Belmonte de Miranda, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. Its name comes from the Asturian word "agüeru", which means a pool or irrigation channel. This name is also applied to the valley, where several streams converge.
