For people of certain generations Andy Capp is an icon of the north east of England and a visit to this statue, which is situated in the Headland area, brought back many lovely memories.Full review by johnhouston2

We were looking around the Headland and I noticed a reference to a statue of Andy Capp. I used to follwo the cartoon in the Newspaper and totally forgot the character was from the north. Full review by Chefsearch
