It is, after all, a military base and there will be noises due to it's proximity that you won't hear elsewhere. The question of "can you hear it" is possibly best answered with "is it bothersome?" When artillery is going, you will hear a series of very low-pitched thumps; they may actually be inaudible to those with low-level hearing loss. I would guess less than 40 decibels - audible to those with good hearing, but not enough to even impact a quiet conversation. Colors being played can be heard clearly, but again, it's background. Evening retreat is haunting beautiful.

Restrooms are operational year round, offering flush toilets and running water sinks. Full hookup sites are also available year round with water, sewer, and 50/30 amp electricity connections.
