The walls are a nice for a walk, but I would appreciate more information about how it developed over the years. There is some basic information available here and there, but nothing substantial.Full review by leuveen

Many are suitable. The "inner ring road" (A286, on Google maps) pretty well follows the outside of the walls. Probably the one at the north end of town, just below theatre, or the big one on East side... the former cattle market... are your best bets... near "good" parts of the walls, and not very expensive.
