We hired a car for the week. However, try Viator they may do organised trips or a taxi there and back. Hope this helps.

Thanks but no as have visited a few times (even drawn in the groiunds some extremely gnarled old Olive and my very Ungnarled partner beneath one who, if Renoir had seen her there might have got his brushes out and dashed her in in his v luminescent way! My question is: How soon after his death was Renoir's house made into a Museum? I bet the end of WW1did not stimulate and give much of a stimulus to the Cagnes Town Council unti l things 'hotted up' say near the mid-1950's when B Bardot brought tourism in bulk to St Tropez not too far further west of Cagnes...? Renoir's sons probably also loved dad's home enough for it to be their 'place in the sun', and consequently held onto its ownersip for a decade or three...? Piers Browne
