This was a nightmare trip. It's $9 with the license plate admin fee and you end up sitting in traffic due to the heavy construction on the causeway but also the number of vehicles doing construction… Full review by CrisH653

The causeway/bridge to Sanibel/Captiva (which is the only vehicular route) was completely demolished in places by Hurricane Ian in Sept. 2022. Amazingly, a temporary causeway was opened within weeks… Full review by jamgypsy
