Schloss Johannisberg is a neoclassical palace and historic winery located in the village of Johannisberg, west of Wiesbaden in Hesse, within the renowned Rheingau wine region of Germany. Famous as the world’s first vineyard exclusively dedicated to Riesling, the estate enjoys a winemaking tradition spanning over 900 years. Originally founded as a Benedictine monastery, the estate was transformed into a Baroque palace and winery in the early 18th century under the ownership of the Prince-Abbots of Fulda.
