I had to go to the museum's website to check. But it seems it is. It used to be that museums were closed on Mondays which put travelers in a black hole on that day. Then they got smart and got together in each town and started to rotate the closed days so that something was open every day. I can tell you with certainty that the Peggy Guggenheim Museum is closed on Tuesdays. But this is a must see museum if you are in Venice on any day other than Tuesday.
