Took our 4 year old grandson, he absolutely loved it, so much so we went up to the water fall twice! The toilets were spotless too! Highly recommendedFull review by Mary T

Wonderful place - arrived early and had it all to ourselves. Spectacular falls, great views - bit precarious underfoot so wear good shoes. Very friendly staffFull review by 554shelleyw

Hi there, please can I ask if the walk is mainly in the shade? We have a dog but don’t want to bring him if not due to the heat etc. Many thanks!
A:
Hi there yes the waterfall walk is under good shade with a woodland canopy over head. The fern garden is also in a beautiful hanging valley with lots of shade and mossy streams.

Q:
Are there any walks around the lakes suitable for a pushchair?
A:
There are plenty of grounds there, a shop and a refreshments kiosk. Personally I wouldn’t bother going if you can’t go up the waterfall
Q:
Would this be suitable for someone scared of heights? Any perilous drops etc?
A:
We went with my children aged 9 and 11 and we all felt safe. The viewing platform at the top has balustrades. Though it is walking through the forest over uneven ground.
Q:
Is the walk to the top suitable for children? Thank you.

They would love it, even more than I did and I'm 74 with implanted knees and a replacement hip. There are several attractions especially for children, fairies, bugs and stuff and if you allow time they will love the woodlands and it's secrets. Some of the views are life changing, crossing the original falls, hopping over the leat and the sense of well-being afterwards is very satisfying. Allow at least 90 minutes for the climb and descent. I found 3 fairies out of a total of twelve!
