Caswell is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, United States. The population was 293 at the 2020 census. The town was first organized on April 14, 1879, as Pleasant Ridge Plantation, and was later incorporated as Caswell on July 16, 1986. It has suffered a large decline in population since its peak, partly due to the closure of a saw mill that existed in town, as well as the closure of the nearby Loring Air Force Base in 1994.
