The above is correct. You are able to get off the trolley to see these monuments whereas some of the other tours just drive by them. This was well worth it and if you’re going to be there all day, I suggest the combo package with the hop on hop off daytime trolley to get around easier.

The night tour pretty much covers the same places as the day tour. (We went on both.) The difference is that the guide is able to point out things on the night tour that really wouldn't make any sense on the day tour, such as the light being on/off at the capitol building, etc. The only real disappointment for me was that we could not see the Iwo Jima memorial because it is under construction, but that is not the fault of the tour company.
