Well organized trail system with lots of easy, available parking. I took the easy Cornish Estate trail, which is about one mile in and one mile out. Mostly flat terrain, with a little uphill inclin…Full review by hrobinson1114

We hiked down to the Hudson along a nice flat trail. There were some slightly steeper, rocky paths to get to some beautiful overlooks. We didn't try the more vigorous hikes this time but will next …Full review by KBR_CT

I’m so surprised when I get there and they have people to tell you where to go! Stopped on a whim so it was much appreciated!Full review by juliebI8555NY
Hi, Is the walk/hike/drive easy to get around to see the scenic view Hudson Highlands State Park ? We are not from USA but will be visiting NYC for 10 days and plan at least 3 days out from NYC. Is Hudson Highlands State Park worth the effort during late Nov period

Thank you for the advise on skipping this location. Any other nice scenic place in Hudson Valley that is worth be there during late Nov 2018?

There is indeed a fire tower, but it's quite a hike from Mt. Taurus over there, perhaps 4-5 miles over pretty rugged terrain (I have never tried to hike over there from Bull Hill/Mt. Taurus). If you want to check out the path, just do a search for the Hudson Highlands trail map. You'll see the white trail leading up to Mt. Taurus, then beyond, a dark blue trail bending to the west, then up to the north. Then, you'll want to continue NNE on the white trail up to the fire tower, marked on the map, just southwest of the intersection of the white trail with the red trail. Like I said, it would be a pretty long hike, if you wanted to return to where you started.
