The weather in Sirince in March is rather pleasant. The days are around 60-68 degrees but the nights are a little cool. The weather in Istanbul in March and April is spring, sunny and a little rain; cool nights and rather nice days. The beginning of April is the Tulip season so you will see millions of tulips blooming everywhere. I am going at the end of February and all I take for outer garments is a suede sport coat and a scarf and I am fine, probably because I am from Wisconsin and it is much colder here.
What clothing do I pack for holiday to Istanbul end December? I know it’s cold, but does it snow? I’m coming from South Africa and it doesn’t snow here , so I’m not sure how cold winter will be there

The weather would be quite similar to a normal autumn weather near Cape; it means wet (with rainy or even light-snowy days), sun covered by clouds aso.

I would like to add to guideturk that it depends where in the city you need to go. If you try google maps it will give you the latest in transportation. From the airport there are three buses. Two are city buses at a reasonable fair. One is Express and the second one makes more stops. The third one is a private company at a much higher fair. The first two will bring you to the pier where you'll take a boat to the historical side and metro if need Busses stop en front straight out to the front entrance of the airport. Enjoy this beautiful city
