The gardens are not very good and lack variety of plants and are not well maintained. The gardens have a tired feel to them and do not cater for wheelchair users and people with different impairment… Full review by 777robi

Yes they are 2 different places...if you just want to go to the Tropical gardens via the cable car then purchase a Monte return - if you want to the other gardens it's the "including …
Yes they are 2 different places...if you just want to go to the Tropical gardens via the cable car then purchase a Monte return - if you want to the other gardens it's the "including gardens" cable car ticket. We've made the mistake ourselves...made it a more expensive trip than planned but we enjoyed ourselves and both gardens were worth the visit (we were there in December)
