Fair Price for a nice tour. They provided exactly what they advertised in a professional customer focused manner. Would use them again if I return to this area.Full review by Gary J

Hi, If you mean the starting point of the boat trip to the north along the shore, the answer is Yes. At Kaiteriteri beach along the beach on the road side, there is a free parking spaces for the boat passengers as well as for public. We parked our car here for approx 4-5 hours while we enjoyed the boat trip - the half day schedule.

Q:
We are thinking of walking perhaps two or three sections of the coastal track later this year, maybe September. Is it feasible to be dropped off at the start of some section on a water taxi and the be picked later in the day, repeating this a couple of times? We are both in early 70's but fit and able but would like to avoid really steep sections. Which sections would you recommend and what would be the cost each day? Many thanks, Ian and Jo Brewster Brisbane Australia

Hi, I think the easiest sections for walking are anywhere from Marahau through to Awaroa. We got dropped off by water taxi to Torrens Bay and walked to Awaroa and it was about 6.5 hours including breaks which was quite a big day but is probably the most scenic part of the track in my opinion. The Awaroa Lodge was absolutely lovely, particularly the meals but it all depends what sort of budget your on. Heading towards Totaranui from Awaroa does have some steep sections but if you are really fit it won't be a problem This webpage is very helpful abeltasmancentre. co. nz /abel-tasman-map and find the map which has with water taxi times and walking times. (Trip advisor won't allow full URL's sorry so take out the spaces I added for correct URL) For more information just email the Abel Tasman Centre, I am sure they could answer all questions. For low key but very relaxing accommodation at the start of the track the Old McDonalds Camping ground has lots of options with cabins etc. All the best, the scenery is truly stunning!!
