Ok see some negative comments. First off shout out to Colt "coltbuildsit" YouTube channel for the suggestion to stop by. Now there are no restrooms here and it's flat and no trees to hide behind. …Full review by Kenny M

Great authentic trace fossils when dinosaurs walked the planet. Get one of the Navajo guides to show you around. It helps them, and they'll show you many cool things. This stop is absolutely safe …Full review by James Y

This was AWESOME! Dale was so helpful in explaining the different tracks. Wish we could have stayed for the full tour. There is so much more to see and see explore. Will definitely be back!!!Full review by Lucas M
Hi, i was wondering what you tipped the guides? I am going there soon and just wondered what a sensible tip would be? Thank you :)

A group of four of us tipped $20 which was well received. I think $10- $20 dollars is reasonable and we bought a couple of bits of jewellery too. Well worth a visit. Have fun.
How much time is minimally required to see some or all of the tracks? Hoping to stop off between Navajo Point and Flagstaff at Cameron Trading post and to Dinosaur tracks, before heading on. Would 30 minutes be enough time to see at least some of them with a Navajo guide?
A:
Yes, but you may want more. There are so many tracks, right together, and you'll want photos!
The colleges come from all around to look at the fossils, the Navajo guides pay attention and learn all they can. I would rather pay them for a well guided at your own paced tour than a cookie cutter read from a paper tour.

I am not 100% sure of what your question is. First off, do some reading on line about this site near Tuba City before you go. There are NO fossils in the area of the Dinosaur tracks. Only the foot prints or tracks have been authenticated. The 'dinosaur eggs' are iron deposits and the 'bones' are limestone. The area with the tracks is fairly small and do not cover a huge area. The tour guides will walk you around and point out the tracks, bones, and eggs. Hard to tell whether they know they are fooling the public, or it is what they believe. You do not have to sign up for an actual tour. And they work on tips alone. You could always do your own research before you get there, let them give you the generic tour (just so you know the locations of the tracks) and then tell them you are going to go back and look at the tracks again, by yourself. I do not believe they would stop you. Some of the guides will be better than others. I hear a lot of good things about 'Joe'. He is usually at the end of the parking area, farthest from hwy 160. Best of luck.
