The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has apprehended nine Bangladeshi nationals for illegally entering and residing in India without valid documents, according to officials. This latest development comes as part of a month-long crackdown targeting illegal immigrants.

On Tuesday (31 December), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Southwest Delhi, Surendra Choudhary reported the arrest of a mother and son from Bangladesh. They had been residing in Delhi for almost 20 years and were detained on Sunday during a specific verification operation.

The mother and son were residing in Katwaria Sarai, where Nazma was employed as a domestic worker, according to a police official.
