New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez reacted to being named to his first All-Pro team. He posted on his Instagram story after the announcement that he’s a Second-Team All-Pro player.

In just his second season with New England Patriots in the NFL, former Oregon Ducks cornerback Christian Gonzalez has been named Second-Team All-Pro by the Associated Press, just days after being snubbed for the Pro Bowl.

Christian Gonzalez and Brenden Schooler were each named All-Pros by The Associated Press for the 2024 season on Friday. Gonzalez was placed on the second team, receiving 32 total points in the vote. As he received four first-place votes, Gonzalez edged out Browns cornerback Denzel Ward by nine points for the final All-Pro spot.

Other than Schooler, Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez had a good argument to be named to the Pro Bowl. The second-year player has been an elite cover cornerback this season. In 16 starts, Gonzalez has routinely covered the opposing team’s best wide receiver. He has two interceptions, 11 passes defended, and 59 total tackles.

Two Patriots players received a special honor on Friday, as cornerback Christian Gonzalez and special teams ace Brenden Schooler were both named to the 2024 All-Pro team by the Associated Press.

It marks the first career selections for both. Schooler, 27, received a total of 60 votes. The Pro Bowler and back-to-back NFLPA All-Pro led New England’s kicking game with 86.5

Christian Gonzalez feels like he was snubbed for multiple NFL honors. He plans on getting those accolades next season.
