Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Netflix is teasing Run Away, a new limited series based on a Harlan Coben novel starring James Nesbitt. Nesbitt portrays Simon, who is father to Ellie de Lange's character, Paige.

James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones have been cast in Run Away, the new Netflix collaboration with author Harlan Coben. The upcoming eight-part series, based on Coben’s 2019 novel, sees Nesbitt play Simon Greene, a father whose world comes crumbling down after his daughter (Ellie de Lange) runs away from home.

Following the success of Coben adaptations 'Fool Me Once' and 'Missing You,' the streamer's next show is in the works with filming beginning this month.

One of the most beloved stars from Gavin and Stacey, Ruth Jones, has secured a role in Harlan Coben's upcoming thriller set to premiere on Netflix. Jones, who co-created the BBC show and portrayed the unforgettable character Nessa, will feature in Coben's new series, Run Away.

There's another Harlan Coben series on the horizon for 2025, and it will once again see the best-selling author team with his long-standing TV collaborator Danny Brocklehurst (whose credits also include Brassic and the BBC's Ten Pound Poms ).
