A Flash Flood Warning was issued Tuesday evening as a sudden round of thunderstorms pounded the city of Chicago Tuesday night.The warning affects a section of Chicago and nearby suburbs. The entire downtown area is included.

Heavy rainfall in a short amount of time Tuesday night left some drivers flooded out in several underpasses on the city’s West Side, while social media posts showed rising water threatening to flood homes in several Chicago neighborhoods.

Underpasses throughout the City of Huntington have also filled with water and one person reported water has reached the porch of a house on Enslow Boulevard.
