Arthur Kaliyev is set to make his debut for the Rangers after getting claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. The 2019 second-round pick had a rocky tenure with the Kings as he was scratched on multiple occasions over his last two years with the team.

The New York Rangers claimed forward Arthur Kaliyev off waivers Monday from the Los Angeles Kings. The 23-year-old wing has not played in the NHL this season after recovering from a broken clavicle suffered in training camp. He played five AHL games as part of a conditioning stint in December but didn’t appear for the Kings before going on waivers.

The Rangers turned to the waiver wire to pad their lost forward depth. Arthur Kaliyev was claimed by the Blueshirts on Monday, after the 23-year-old wing was waived by the organization that drafted him 33rd overall in 2019, the Los Angeles Kings.
