England captain Jos Buttler began the Brendon McCullum era with a solid and fighting fifty in the first T20I against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

England were bundled out for just 132 with Jos Buttlers 68 the highest score; Indias Varun Chakravarthy took a three-for; Jofra Archer struck twice in one over but hosts dominated, reaching the target in 12.

Skipper Jos Buttler was lone warrior for England in the 1st T20I against India at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Buttler's half-century kept England afloat after they were down to 83/5 at one stage. While Buttler was the only Englishman to score 20-plus runs, only two other batters scored in double-figures.
