The National Endowment for the Arts, the most prominent federal arts funder, will give nearly $2 million to 80 groups in Illinois.

• 22 of the Ohio awards were distributed through the NEA’s Grants for Arts Projects, a program that awards organizations $10,000 to $40,000. Funded projects cover dance, design, film and media arts, literary arts, local arts agencies, music, opera, theater and visual arts.

Cucalorus announces it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $30,000.

Fourteen Maine organizations are receiving a share of nearly $400,000 in federal grants. Representative Chellie Pingree shared the announcement Wednesday. The money comes from the National Endowment for the Arts with the goal of supporting the arts in communities across the country.
