Armstead rumbles as Roughriders snap winless skid with 37-29 victory over Stampeders
Ryquell Armstead’s debut in green and white couldn’t have gone much better. After signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Monday, the 27-year-old running back rushed for a league-best 207 yards on 25 carries as the Roughriders beat the Calgary Stampeders 37-29 to snap a seven-game winless streak on Friday night at McMahon Stadium in Week 16 of the CFL season.

Quarterback Trevor Harris completed 16 of 18 passes for 248 yards for the Riders with KeeSean Johnson (six catches, 90 yards) and Kian Schaffer-Baker (five catches, 80 yards, one touchdown) serving as his favourite targets. Harris also had a touchdown along the ground while short-yardage quarterback Shea Patterson had two scores himself.
