Thousands of American users set up accounts on the increasingly popular app Xiaohongshu just days before U.S. law is set to go into into effect

Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, Google, Apple and internet providers won't be allowed to make TikTok available after Sunday, Jan. 19.

Congress labeled the app’s Chinese ownership a national security risk and passed a law that would ban the social media platform unless it was sold. TikTok and creators say that violates their free speech rights.
