“It’s certainly possible,” agreed Zack Cooper, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly, which has issued a winter weather advisory from 12:01 to 10 a.m. Thursday for the entire region for up to an inch of snow and ice and 0.1 inches of freezing rain.

The snow arrives between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday from southwest to northeast. It will only last a few hours in most areas (longer the farther north you live). The majority of the snow accumulation will be over by early afternoon.

On Tuesday at 2:22 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an ice storm warning valid from Wednesday 7 p.m. until Thursday noon for Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Somerset, Bedford and Fulton counties.
