Cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin reached "stage 5 - Puffy White," the last stage before peak bloom, according to the National Park Service.

As of Tuesday, March 25, the cherry blossoms around D.C.’s Tidal Basin are officially still in Stage 5 — the puffy white stage. But the National Park Service has noted that a number of the trees are starting to hit peak bloom already,

The Cherry Blossom trees have now reached stage 5 and are a step closer to peak bloom along the Tidal Basin, according to the National Park Service.
