The next increase in the price of stamps is coming in July. U.S. Postal Service is proposing a nickel increase for a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 73 cents to 78 cents. They also want to increase the cost to send a postcard.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is looking to raise prices of first class main stamps by five cents, increasing it from 73 to 78 cents, which would go into effect this summer.  USPS said

The Postal Service contends, as it did last year before a similar increase, that the price hike is needed to achieve financial stability.
