Q:We have a ranch home in the Bay Area and over the years we've replaced some of the exterior siding with plywood. When we did this work, waterproof paper was installed beneath the plywood.

My understanding is plywood siding comes in 4' x 8' sheets and the "bad" section is only ~24" x 24". So what is preferred from a patching standpoint? I think I'm supposed to use Z-bar where the ...
