Albury's Astor Hotel has used the period of COVID-19 patron restrictions imposed on NSW pubs wisely by completing stage one of a major revamp.

A NORTH Albury man described in Albury Court yesterday as a significant contributor to the Aboriginal community was jailed for 12 months over assaults at the Astor Hotel last year.
