TAIPEI, Taiwan — Barbie Hsu, a Taiwanese actress who starred in the popular TV drama “Meteor Garden” that once swept Asia, died after contracting pneumonia triggered by the flu. She was 48.

The two children of the late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu did not attend their mother’s funeral, instead spending the day crafting with Mandy Ma, the current wife of their father Wang Xiaofei.
