Sunset Dunes will be the name of San Francisco's newest park, located on part of the now-closed Upper Great Highway.

Traffic on nearby streets has reportedly more than doubled during peak commute times since the Great Highway closed to traffic, and neighbors have taken notice.

The two-mile stretch of the Great Highway is now known as "Sunset Dunes" and is permanently closed to cars. But the neighborhood controversy surrounding the new space isn't going away.
