Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. BECN, a leading distributor of roofing, waterproofing and exterior products, has entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by QXO, Inc. (QXO) in a deal valued at $11 billion.

The agreement between QXO and Hernon, Virginia-based Beacon Roofing Supply, which describes itself as the “largest publicly traded distributor of roofing materials and complementary building products” in the U.S. and Canada, culminates QXO’s months-long pursuit.

(Reuters) -Building-products distributor QXO signed a deal for Beacon Roofing Supply, valuing Beacon at roughly $7.7 billion, or $11 billion including debt, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
