Mike McCarthy was out as the Cowboys’ leader. Just 48 hours later, the first interview for the vacancy was made official, with former Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh being scheduled.

Brady doesn’t have head coaching experience and that may cause some teams to shy away from him as an option, but he’s a coach whose star is on the rise and someone who, at age 35, is on the right trajectory for a top NFL coaching candidate.

Dallas has requested to interview Seattle assistant head coach Leslie Frazier for its head coaching vacancy, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Dallas Morning News. Frazier would be the second known name in the Cowboys’ search, joining former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.

Brian Flores didn’t have a great ending to his tenure with the Miami Dolphins but he’s a well respected head coach who worked under Bill Belichick, Mike Tomlin, and Kevin O’Connell. He’s currently the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings where he established himself as one of the top candidates in this cycle.

The NFL coaching carousel is spinning slowly. The Jets, Saints and Bears got a head start in their searches because they fired coaches during the season. The Jaguars and Raiders joined the hunt last week. The Cowboys jumped in Monday so they have to wait to interview assistants on playoff teams because the first window passed.

The next Cowboys head coach will be the 10th in team history, and the ninth under Jerry Jones's employ. So, who wants this job? And who does Jerry want?
