According to Ivan Drury, director of insights at automotive research site Edmunds, cars assembled in the U.S. won't necessarily be safe from tariffs, due to manufacturers relying on foreign imports. Nissan, for example, has suppliers from all over the world, with many of them providing up to 70% or 80% of parts.

Honda, which has worked to significantly increase its U.S. content and production, is also well-positioned for Trump’s tariffs. Across its lineup of vehicles, Honda has 63% total domestic content, more than even legacy American automakers like Ford and General Motors. The Honda Passport ranks highly with 76.5% domestic content.
