They include American holly, Yaupon holly, and dahoon holly, as well as a hybrid of American and dahoon called "East Palatka" holly.

The $2.5 million trail is a 1.5 miles long, eight-foot-wide paved path lined with 148 newly planted trees including live oaks, wild tamarind, mahogany, East Palatka holly, gumbo limbo and buttonwoods.
