Edward "Eddie" M. Hicks of Prattsville, Ark. was born July 7, 1956 in Malvern, the son of the late Bertha Walker Hicks, his mother whom was so special and influential to his life.

As a Quaker, Hicks would have been drawn strongly to a pacifist and harmonious view of nature, the human and the animal kingdom. He also painted famous portraits of Noah’s ark.
