The Trump administration has released its final budget proposal and in response, many have expressed concernthat it will stifle American science and halt NASA’s and other agencies' work for decades to come.

Trump's NASA budget request is rife with spending cuts. Overall, the White House proposes reducing NASA's budget by about 24 percent, from $24.8 billion this year to $18.8 billion in fiscal year 2026.
