The Green Bay Packers are warning fans of a serious data breach involving their official online retail store. According to a message to customers, threat actors infiltrated the website late last year, injecting a malicious card skimmer script designed to steal customers' personal and payment information during transactions on packersproshop.com.

If you purchased anything from the Packers Pro Shop website in the fall, you may be receiving a notice in the mail. The team reported Tuesday of a data breach that could leak the personal data of multiple fans.

The Green Bay Packers Pro Shop website was hit by hackers recently, the team confirmed in a statement sent to NBC 26 on Tuesday.

Some customers who used a debit or credit card on the pro shop website from late September through most of October could be impacted. The Packers say they've sent a notification letter to everyone who may have been affected and those customers have been given the option of three years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection.
