The Peoria area has "almost 100% chance" of snow on Sunday afternoon or early evening, with between 2-6 inches expected according to NWS meteorologist John Bumgardner, who said the heaviest snow will fall near Springfield and Decatur. The heaviest snow is expected to fall between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Snow, ice and potentially severe weather are slated to hit parts of the Midwest this week, but there will likely be a sharp cut-off line for snow when the system hits.

Over 60 million people are being bombarded by heavy snowfall because of the "disruptive" winter storm moving through the area, according to the NWS.
