Police charged a 61-year-old man with murder 30 years after he allegedly abducted and killed a 12-year-old girl after she got off a Florida school bus, officials said Thursday.
Jeffrey Norman Crum, 61, is accused of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and murdering 12-year-old Jennifer Odom, who vanished after getting off a school bus in 1993.
A break in the case happened in 2015, when investigators used DNA analysis to narrow down Crum as a suspect in a different case that happened about 13 months before Odom’s killing, the sheriff said.
