MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), together with Mercy Hospital, announced they had entered into a letter of intent for the sale of the hospital to HCA.

HCA, Nashville, said it has signed a letter of intent to purchase 357-bed Mercy Hospital, Miami, from Catholic Health East, Newtown Square, Pa. Terms were not disclosed.
