Just days after the city approved its first licenses to sell recreational marijuana, local officials found 20 unlicensed businesses in the city are selling tainted and potentially dangerous marijuana.
The bill, sponsored by New York state Sen. Andrew Gounardes and Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, follows calls from then-U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy for warning labels on social media platforms.
