MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A winter storm will likely bring accumulating snow to the Mid-South, including Memphis, on Friday, January 10.

Arctic air is gripping the Mid-South as the week begins and will keep that grip through the week and into the weekend. There were a few snow flurries to day, but a more significant winter storm is lining up for the end of the week making Friday a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY.

As of Monday morning, the National Weather Service is predicting that Memphis will see snow showers on Friday. Snow showers are when snow falls at varying intensities for brief periods of time. It is possible for accumulation during snow showers.
