Notre Dame's Riley Leonard was reportedly "vomiting" on the sideline at the CFP championship game after leading the Irish to an opening drive TD.

Riley Leonard opened the national championship game with a do-it-all drive that made it appear the Notre Dame quarterback could win the title by himself. As it turned out, Leonard needed more help.

While Notre Dame fell short of the main goal of winning a natty, Leonard and the Fighting Irish can still be proud of what they have accomplished, having made it to the CFP title game after beating the likes of No. 10 seed Indiana Hoosiers, No. 2 seed Georgia Bulldogs and No. 6 seed Penn State Nittany Lions.

The 22-year-old will take the field on January 20 in the College Football Playoff National Championship as the University of Notre Dame battles Ohio State University for the win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have struck first in the national championship game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. It’s all thanks to Irish quarterback Riley Leonard, who capped off a 18-play, 75-yard scoring drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. Leonard had 9 carries for 34 yards on the drive, which chewed 9:45 off of the clock.
