Governor Lachlan Macquarie was a great builder and dreamer. He established the five Macquarie towns in the Hawkesbury Valley - Windsor, Richmond, Castlereagh, Wilberforce and Pitt Town.

It’s not a widely popular place for tourists to visit outside of Sydneysiders taking a weekend getaway, which still amazes me, as there are tons of things to do in the Southern Highlands NSW.
