The two struggled and fell to the floor, when Chau allegedly grabbed a knife and fatally stabbed Tran a total 107 times. 4 Angelina Tran, 21, was fatally stabbed more than 100 times on August 7.

Prosecutors say Angelina Tran, Chau's stepdaughter, intervened during Chau's attack on her mother, who escaped and hid in a bedroom shortly before 5 a.m. on the 5300 block of 31st Avenue South.

Nghiep Kein Chau is accused of trying to kill his wife in their Beacon Hill home Aug. 7 before fatally stabbing his stepdaughter, 21-year-old University of Washington student Angelina Tran.

Police said they saw Chau stab Angelina Tran at least 107 times in the video. Charging documents said Chau had been in a relationship with Angelina Tran's mother for the last 19 years.
