Have we seen the last of Tyson Fury in the boxing ring? Fury took to social media on Monday to announce he'll be retiring from boxing, less than a month after his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in a unified heavyweight title fight in December.

The announcement comes after Fury suffered a second defeat of his career by Oleksandr Usyk last month in Saudi Arabia.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said Monday he had retired from boxing just weeks after suffering a second straight defeat at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk. "I'm going to make this short and sweet," the British fighter said in a social media post. "I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing."

This is not the first time he has spoken about retirement, however. He said he was “done” with boxing in 2022 following a win over Dillian Whyte, but he returned to the ring to fight Derek Chisora later that year. Fury then fought Francis Ngannou before losing twice to Usyk.

"I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it," Fury said on Instagram
