SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Instacart (Nasdaq: CART) and Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: UBER) today announced a strategic partnership to bring Uber Eats restaurant delivery to Instacart customers.
Instacart is expanding into restaurant delivery with the help of Uber Eats. Uber will power the back end of the transaction in Instacart’s app. No price changes are expected from this deal.
Uber Eats also competes with Instacart in grocery delivery, though it is a smaller player. In the three months through March, DoorDash posted record revenue but a bigger-than-expected loss.
