U.S. President Donald Trump'sadministration is considering merging the U.S. international aid agency (USAID) into the State Department in a major revamp that would shrink its workforce and align its spending with Trump's "America First" policy.

The Agency for International Development supports a wide range of programs in countries around the world, from disaster relief to public health, but Musk said it was “time” for USAID to “die.”
